Dell PowerEdge C2100 Cloud Servers

If you’re on the lookout for a server with absolutely ridiculous memory capacity, then the new Dell PowerEdge C2100 is the pot of gold at the end of your rainbow. It’s the cheese to your mac, the rum to your coke – getting the picture? Basically, it’s the better half of your memory-consuming IT environment. Featuring 18 slots of Double Data Rate3 (DDR3) memory for up to 144 Gigabytes (GB), the Dell C2100 cloud server is unbeatable in its class, and especially compared to traditional Dell PowerEdge servers. So kick tradition to the curb, and get on board with the innovation offered by the C2100’s ability to increase GB without having to also increase the quantity of the nodes for a total disk capacity of either 12 3.5” or 24 2.5” Serial Attached SCSI (SAS), Serial Advanced Technology Attachment (SATA). And the Dell C2100 also offers the option of 2 additional drives, which can be either Hard Disk Drives (HDD) or Solid State Drives (SSD).

And when it comes to disk choice, it isn’t an all or none decision. The Dell PowerEdge C2100 provides the ability to mix and match disk configurations and backplane options, empowering the user to fill the C2100 with a higher or low amount of disks depending on their IT environment’s specific needs. In fact, C2100 cloud servers come with a whole mess of options, designed to enable users to custom-fit these spectacular servers to your data center.  For example, the Dell C2100 offers the option of 2 standard x8 Peripheral Component Interconnect Express (PCI-E) slots or 2 dedicated x4 PCI-E slots for SAS or 10 Gigabit Ethernet (GbE). And the options don’t end there – you can also choose to equip your C2100 with hypervisors from the 3 biggest dogs on the virtualization industry’s figurative campus: VMware, Citrix and Microsoft.
