Dell PowerEdge R510

As a multi-purpose 2U rack server, the Dell PowerEdge R510 is ideal for the core business applications of small to medium sized enterprise environments. Offering a maximum memory capacity of up to 128 Gigabytes (GB), the PowerEdge R510 also provides a high level of redundancy with redundant cooling, hot plug hard drives, and redundant power supplies. Equipped with the latest technologies, the R510 can be configured with quad core, or even cutting edge 6 core, 2-socket Intel Xeon processors from the 5500 or 5600 series. With all of these features equaling a high level of performance, the Dell R510 proves an exceptional value and remains a cost-effective server option. Following the specifications of the 11th generation PowerEdge family, the R10 maintains the same design for components such as external ports, LED lights and power supplies in order to simplify the user experience through familiar locations, as well as increasing the ease of installation and deployment.

While the Dell PowerEdge R510 follows the 11th generation portfolio for some design features, it also offers the ability to choose certain design aspects and feature sets based upon individual requirements. For instance, the manner of chassis configuration is left up to the customer, with a range of 4, 8 or 12 hard drive options to choose from. Additionally, the Dell R510 offers energy-optimized technologies such as low-flow fans, which provide such advantages as reducing the amount of unnecessary noise in your workspace as well as automatically adjusting the rate of spin in accordance to the demands of the server workload. Another important set of features provided by the R510 are the advanced management tools it offers, which include power inventory, power budgeting, power capping and Dell OpenManage. While all of these simplify the management of your server, the Dell OpenManage tool features a particularly advantageous tool known as the Dell Management Console, which provides users with a consolidated view of their entire data center infrastructure.
