Dell PowerEdge R910

Dell PowerEdge R910 servers are brought to you by, well…YOU. Listening to the demands of their customers, Dell has responded by equipping this particular rack server with capabilities and features that were developed based off of this feedback. An example of one of the customer-driven features of the R900 servers is its internal dual SD modules, which provide failover at the hypervisor level for a depth of reliability that wasn’t previously possible. I, for one, think that deserves a pat on the back, smarty-pants. Some additional new, performance-enhancing features of this 4U, 4-socket Dell rack server includes Intel Advanced Reliability, Availability and Security (RAS) Technology, and Dell Lifecycle Controller. Intel Advanced RAS Technology provides the R910 servers with the ultimate in data integrity through the ability automatically monitor, report and recover from hardware errors, while Dell Lifecycle Controller makes everything from provisioning, deployment and patching, to servicing and user customization just a little bit easier.

And while that might certainly be enough to convince most anyone to buy this server, if you’re still reading you obviously need just a bit more of a push. Not a problem, the Dell Power Edge R910 has plenty more mind-blowing features to talk about. For instance, did you know that Dell R910 servers feature exceptional scalability and I/O throughput? And that’s not all. The PowerEdge R910 servers are also equipped with up to 4 of highest performing Intel Xeon 7500 series processors, with an option of 4, 6 or 8 cores, as well as 64 Dual Inline Memory Module (DIMM) slots for a maximum memory capacity of up to 1 Terabyte (TB) - and if you think that’s a lot, the maximum internal storage capacity of the Dell R910 goes all the way up to 4.8 TB! So when you put it all of the performance resources and power efficiency together of the Dell R910 together, it looks like you came up with a pretty sweet rack server.
