HP Integrity BL860c Servers

Although they are all configured as full-height blade servers, the HP Integrity BL860c series includes varying models, each with their own advantages. And yet, since they are a part of the same server blade series, they share many of the same features. For example, some of the components and technologies that come standard on models within the HP BL860c server blade series include an embedded LSI 1068 Serial Attached SCSI (SA)S RAID controller, a local I/O connector, 4 embedded Gigabit Ethernet (GbE) adapter ports, and support for multiple operating systems (OS) including HP-UX, Red Hat, Linux and Windows. Beyond what comes standard with HP BL860c blade servers, there are many features that allow for flexibility and give BL860c’s options to make them unique. For instance, HP Integrity BL860c servers can be equipped with 1 or 2 dual-core Intel Itanium 9100 series processors, depending on the required level of processing power and computing density.

Another example that HP Integrity BL860c blade servers allow for options even with standard features is their memory range, with a maximum memory capacity of up to 48 Gigabytes (GB) when utilizing all 12 DIMM slots. And yet another example would be the option of 1 or 2 small form factor (SFF) hot-pluggable Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) hard drives. On top of providing flexible options, robust performance and high availability, HP BL860c servers are outfitted with numerous innovative technologies that are unique to HP products. A sampling of these technologies includes HP BladeSystem Infrastructure management, HP Virtual Server Environment, HP VSE Reference Architecture, HP Integrated Lights Out 2 (iLO-2) management and more. From these technologies, HP Integrity BL860c servers are able to offer virtualization capabilities, easy management and other beneficial features to your enterprise IT environment.
