HP ProLiant Servers

The HP ProLiant series of servers includes over 75 different models of servers spreading across 7 generations. That’s a heck of a lot of servers to choose from! With that amount of options, it’s a sure thing that you’ll be able to find a server to fit your IT environment’s requirements within this product line. Some of the many characteristics that these HP ProLiant server models share include an industry-standard architecture with proven performance, high availability, a suite of easy-to-use management tools, exceptional expandability and more. And while these particular HP servers offer many advantages for your enterprise data center, they are also highly cost-effective servers – so they will wow your boss without breaking your budget. And so, to aid you on your quest for the perfect server amongst the vast array of server model options available, we can narrow the HP ProLiant server series down to three main types of servers.

These three server types include HP ProLiant blade servers, HP ProLiant rack servers and HP ProLiant tower servers. Some of the things that set apart HP ProLiant blade servers, also referred to as the HP ProLiant BL series or HP BladeSystem servers, include a capacity for 12 core processors that makes them a perfect fit for environments depending on high-performance applications such as virtualization. When it comes to HP rack servers, or the HP ProLiant DL series, these servers are set apart since they are highly dense and can be outfitted with up to 8 processors for optimal use in applications like High Performance Computing (HPC) clusters and more. Last but not least, HP ProLiant tower servers, or the HP ProLiant ML series, are best suited for shared internet access, network deployment, filing, etc. with the ability to support up to two 6-core processors.
