The HP ProLiant BL460c G7 is a half-height blade server that is commonly utilized in data center computing applications across the world. As the newest generation of 400 series blade servers, the BL460c G7 uses advanced technologies to provide optimal power efficiency while also offering flexibility with a variety of feature options. Designed with a choice amongst the latest in processors, the BL460c G7 can be equipped with up to 2 Intel Xeon processors, either from the 5500 or 5600 series, in 2, 4 or 6 core configurations. Another feature choice is the type of memory, with an internal memory capacity of 384 Gigabytes (GB) with Registered Dual In-line Memory Module (RDIMM) or 48 GB with Unbuffered DIMM (UDIMM), both of which are made possible through 12 DIMM slots. Not only offering flexible feature choices, the BL 460c G7 also offers flexibility through a multitude of expansion options including a choice of additional storage, tape or even a Peripheral Component Interconnect (PCI) expansion blade.

Engineered to provide exceptional x86 server blade density, the 2-processor BL460c G7 allows for high performance and scalability with easy server expansion as well as simplified management and deployment. Designed with a 10 GB dual port FlexFabric Adapter, the ProLiant BL460c G7 is able to deliver high bandwidth in addition to providing converged Local Area Network (LAN) and System Area Network (SAN) traffic, which benefits datacenters of all sizes. Additionally, the BL460c G7 has an internal drive support option of up to 2 Small Form Factor (SFF) Serial Attached SCSI (SAS), Serial Advanced Technology Attachment (SATA) hot plug drives or SATA Solid State Drives (SSD). This multi-faceted HP blade server can be easily remotely managed by means of HP’s Integrated Lights Out 3 (iLo 3) tool, with additional monitoring and management provided through HP Insight Control and HP Insight Dynamics.
