HP ProLiant BL680c G7 Servers

The HP ProLiant BL680c G7 server series is unique in its high computing density, with up to 4 Intel Xeon processors in a full-height blade server configuration. And with the option of up to 10 cores in an E7-4800 Intel Xeon processor, or up to 8 cores in an E7-7500 Intel Xeon processor, that’s a lot of density! As a result, BL680c G7 servers are able to handle an extensive array of applications including extremely large consolidation projects and various data-demanding workloads. Ideally-suited for virtualization applications as well, HP BL680c G7 servers feature 60 Gigabytes (GB) of embedded FlexFabric ports and 7 I/O expansion slots for optimal I/O bandwidth, providing support for up to 273 virtual machines. Designed to reduce rack space by up to 58%, BL680c G7 servers have a compact, 4-socket architecture with each socket individually designed to include up to 2 memory controllers for exceptional performance.

BL680c G7 blade servers can also be equipped with many optional features including up to six 4 GB or 8 GB Fibre Channel (FC) Host Bus Adapter (HBA) mezzanine adapters. Not only equipped with the latest, performance-boosting features, the HP ProLiant BL680 G7 also feature advanced security tools and software. Some of these advanced security features include Intel Trusted Execution Technology Ready, Double Device Data Correction Ready, and Intel Advanced Encryption Standard New Instructions (Intel AES-N).  Not only highly secure, but exceptionally power-efficient as well, HP BL680 G7 servers provide support that allows for the option of low-voltage (Registered Dual In-Line Memory Module) RDIMM, an optimized memory buffer, and Intel Trusted Execution Technology Ready software. And the options don’t stop there – additional options provided by ProLiant BL680 G7 servers include operating system (OS) flexibility, with the ability to support multiple OS including Red Hat, Windows and VMware, as well as the option of up to 4 hot-pluggable Serial-Attached SCSI (SAS) drives, Serial Advanced Technology Attachment (SATA) drives, or Solid State Drives (SSD).
