As a 1U rack server, the HP ProLiant DL360 G6 offers an optimized design for enterprise environments with limited space. Able to be equipped with up to 2 Intel Xeon 5500 or 5600 series processors, the DL360 G6 offers adaptability through processor selection as well as the option of 2, 4 or 6 core configurations for an HP rack server customized to your specific power and performance requirements. The DL360 G6 is designed to handle an extensive range of scale out applications, and offers high performance in all of these areas by means of the latest technologies in both operation and management. Some of the advanced operation technologies include essential fault tolerance, which allows the DL 360 G6 to provide continuous operation with minimal downtime for business critical applications, and smart power technologies, which allow the HP rack server to minimize power consumption while actually increasing the capacity and performance of the server.

Optimal operation is also tied in with the parts that make up the DL360 G6, such as using integrated Smart Array P410 Redundant Array of Inexpensive Disks (RAID) controllers for the support of up to 8 Serial Advanced Technology Attachment (SATA), Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) or Solid State Drive (SSD) hard drives, with optional upgrades available for the controllers. The HP DL360 G6 also utilizes Double Data Rate 3 (DDR3) memory, either registered or unbuffered, with differing memory capacities for the two options: up to 192 Gigabytes (GB) for registered and up to 48 GB for unbuffered. In terms of the advanced management technologies offered by the ProLiant DL360 G6, the use of the HP ProLiant Integrated Lights Out (iLO) web-based remote management tool allows for easy management and monitoring whether you are standing right next to the equipment or a couple thousand miles away.
