Designed as a 1U rack server, the HP ProLiant DL360 Generation 7 (G7) is able to meet the demanding applications of small to medium-sized enterprise environments in a minimum amount of space, making it ideal for growing businesses for which space is an important commodity. Able to handle extensive scale out applications, the DL 360 G7 is fully optimized with the latest technologies including HP Thermal Logic, ProLiant Integrated Lights Out 3 (iLO 3) for web-based remote management capabilities, and dual Peripheral Component Interconnect - Express (PCI-E) Generation 2 expansion cards . The HP ProLiant DL360 G7 also features the latest when it comes to processors, able to be equipped with up to 2 Intel Xeon 5600 series processors - either 4 cores or 6 cores. As an intelligent HP rack server, the ProLiant DL360 G7 also features a fault tolerant design as well as cooling management tools with removable fan modules.

Offering optimum performance in a small form factor, the HP DL360 G7 is able to be extremely powerful while being compact by means of advanced technologies. One of these technologies is Integrated Smart Array controllers, which support up to 8 Serial-Attached SCSI (SAS), Serial Advanced Technology Attachment (SATA) or Solid State Drives (SSD). Another technological feature is the integration of virtualization technologies such as VMware, Citrix XenServer and MSHyperV, which allows for the server consolidation that helps to enable the DL360 to work so well in so small of a space. Additionally, the DL360 G7 is able to offer a wide array of features including hot swap SATA or hot swap SAS drives for a maximum internal storage of 4 terabytes (4 TB) with SATA or 7.2 TB for SAS. The DL360 G7 also offers two additional Network Interface Card (NIC) ports as well as 18 Dual In-line Memory Module (DIMM) slots, proving compact doesn’t mean limited.
