While the standard configuration is equipped with one dual or quad core Intel Xeon X5000 series processor, the performance model is equipped with 2 processors for maximum performance. As a result, this HP rack server can have a data capacity of up to 64 Gigabytes (GB) with 8 sockets for Fully Buffered Dual In-line Memory Modules (FB-DIMMs). Some highlights of the HP DL380 G5 rack server are its redundancy and integration of advanced technologies. With fully redundant hot plug fans as well as fully redundant power supplies, the DL 380 G5 minimizes the downtime required for repairs, exchanges and any necessary maintenance.
