For instance, HP9000 rp4440 servers can hold up to 4 dual-core PA-8800 processors, up to 128 Gigabytes (GB) of maximum memory capacity, up to 2 hot-pluggable Small Computer System Interface (SCSI) disk drives for a maximum disk drive capacity of up to 600GB and more.

Other enterprise-class features of HP9000 rp4440 servers include the option of up to 6 PCI-X expansion I/O slots, support for various version of HP-UX operating systems (OS), a memory bandwidth of 12.8 GB per seonds (GB/s), a dual-channel Ultra320 Low Voltage Differential (LVD) SCSI controller, 2 external Ultra320 LVD SCSI ports, an HP zx1 chipset, 2 10/100/1000 Base-T Local Area Network (LAN) ports and much more. In addition to these diverse high-performance components, HP 9000 rp 4440 servers are embedded with an array of cutting-edge technologies which include HP’s unique Integrated Lights Out (iLO) management tool for remote management capabilities and high availability (HA) monitoring, as well as on-line memory deallocation, Uninterruptible Power System (UPS) Power Management, HP ServiceGuard, and the ability to be easily upgraded to the further power of an HP Integrity rp4640 server. There are two part numbers for HP 9000 rp4400 servers, the A7124A and the A7134A, and the major difference between the two is that the A7124A features 900 Megahertz (MHz) processors while the A7134A features 1.0 Gigahertz (GHz) processors.
