The IBM System P6-570 is perhaps the most dynamic and robust rackmount server on the IBM System P roster. The MMA Model is available in 2-Way, 4-Way, 8-Way, 12-Way, 16-Way, or 32-Way 3.5 GigaHertz (GHz), 4.2GHz, 4.4GHz, 4.7GHz, or 5.0GHz processor configurations. At its maximum configuration, the IBM p6 570 server is capable of 768 Gigabytes (GB) of memory and can hold up to 48 3.5” Large Form Factor (LFF) Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) hot-swappable Hard Disk Drives (HDDs). Built upon a modular symmetrical microprocessor (SMP) architecture, IBM p6 570 servers offer 30 unique variations of the base configuration; when you factor in drives, memory, and I/O, the possibilities are endless. The limitlessness of their configuration possibilities is fantastic news, since that means System p570 servers are adaptable and scalable to the needs of just about any enterprise IT environment.
