These particular processors feature QuickPath Interconnect technology, which allows for enhanced memory, flexibility and dynamically scalable bandwidth, as well as increased reliability and availability. Additionally, IBM Systemx 3550 m2 servers are well-equipped to manage risk since they are built upon proven IBM X Architecture, as well as offering easy deployment and integration. As an enterprise rack server, IBM x3550 M2 servers provide options that allow them to be used virtualized environments, with available support for an innovative, top-of-the-line, embedded VMware ESXi 3.5 hypervisor. With 16 Dual In-line Memory Module (DIMM) Slots, IBM System x3550 M2 servers can provide up to 128 Gigabytes (GB) of Double Data Rate 3 (DDR3) memory, which equals out to 32 GB per core with the quad core processor. Registered at 1333 Megahertz (MHz), this memory is equipped with Error Checking and Correcting (ECC) tools as well as online memory mirroring for protection that ensures their high reliability and availability.
