Configured in a 2U design, the Sun T5220 server series offers high computing density with up to 64 threads simultaneously executing on a single UltraSPARC T2 server. Dubbed a, “system on a chip,” processor, the UltraSPARC T2 can be equipped with 4 or 8 cores for maximum computing power and density. In addition to the processor, T5220 servers are outfitted with many other advantageous components including 16 Dual Inline Memory Module (DIMM) slots for a maximum memory capacity of up to 128 Gigabytes (GB), as well as 4 10/100/1000 Megabits per second (Mbps) Ethernet ports and 2 Universal Serial Bus (USB) 2.0 ports.
