Sun X4150 Server

Sun Fire X4150 Servers
Sun Fire X4150 servers are ideal for applications that are storage-intensive, disk-intensive, memory-intensive, data-intensive, and more…so I feel it’s pretty safe to say that X4150 servers are pretty INTENSE altogether. But, that’s no surprise given the design of Sun Fire X4150 servers. This design allows for extreme performance as well as flexibility with up to 2 dual or quad-core 5400 series Intel Xeon processors, a choice of either 6 Serial Advanced Technology Attachment (SATA) drives or 8 Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) drives, and up to 16 Dual Inline Memory Module (DIMM) slots for up a maximum of 64 Gigabytes (GB) of Double Data Rate 2 (DDR2) memory. And while that is a lot to throw at someone all at once, I feel that the machine-gun technique really helps to demonstrate the scale of what the Sun Fire X4150 can provide.
And yet, there are still more exciting features and technologies of the Sun X4150 server to bring to light. For instance, X4150 rack servers are built based on a 64-bit, x86 architecture and have all of their features squeezed into a 1U form factor. So, space-efficiency is something that Sun X4150’s bring to the table. X4150 servers also offer energy-efficiency, since they feature a design that allows cooling and power usage to be minimized as much as possible, with the added benefit of reducing total operating expenses and saving a very different kind of green as well. And what’s more, X4150 Sun servers feature an array of beneficial hardware including up to 5 Universal Serial Bus (USB) 2.0 pots, 4 10/100/100 Base-T Ethernet ports, and up to 5 Network Interface Cards (NICs) – divided between 4 on-board Intel Gigabit Ethernet (GbE) NICs and 1 10/100 Megabit Ethernet (MbE) NIC.
